Taeriana

The village has, of course, been rebuilt, added to, changed, burned down and sacked during war and rebuilt again and again in the tens of thousands of years it has existed. All the while it has been a village staying strictly traditional in the old Arcean religion. Taeriana generally rejects technological advances and modern thinking, which they tend to find reprehensibly greedy.

That being said, Taeriana has still managed to open a partnership with the independent City-State of Dove' Fo Uddjo. For thousands of years the village leader of Taeriana has had the sole authority to sell and distribute passes into the city of Psychics, as the moral and traditional Poke'mon of Taeriana struck the psychics as the best judges of character. Whether this was a good call is debated, but the psychics of Dove' Fo Uddjo are known for being eccentric, and now it is locked in as a long tradition that the people of Taeriana hold with pride.

For this reason, the only time Taeriana is visited by outsiders is when nobles and businessmen wish to go to Dove Fo Uddjo on holiday. This has been how Taeriana funds itself in the wake of rising property taxes and fees that have shut down other, larger villages and towns over the last century. Taeriana has no protections as a historical town, they've simply managed to hold on all this time. In general, focus on Taeriana by the Conduicy and Guild is minimal, as the village provides little for anyone beyond themselves.
