Souljraan

Souljraan has been at the center of multiple historical events. It was where Illaminian crops first came to Arcean and thus from whence the Blight Plague first propagated. It was also the city from which the warlord, Jyiniarno, spring boarded his invasion of Arcea that became the Second War of Arcea. In late 4th turn it was the centerpiece of the resurgence of Illaminian commerce that contributed to the economic golden age. And now, it's the main facilitation point for the massive influx of Illaminian refugees.

The most famous landmark of Souljraan, the Souljreini Tower, is a superstructure that can be see from extremely long distances. It was a vanity project began by wealthy Illaminian merchants that led and funded the municipal government. For hundreds of years as it was built, Arceans protested the construction, considering it an eyesore. So adamant were Arceans to protest the construction that it led to mass adoption of learning Illaminian as a second language in Arcea, improving translation efforts, if only to protest in the city officials' native tongue. Even today, hundreds of years after the tower's completion, it's still lovingly called the great eyesore of Souljraan by Arcean across the country.
