Old Kollovan

Across overgrown fields of invasive plants, dead trees, foreign grasses and barren patches with strange fungi, you'll find the remains of the city of Kollovan. Curved houses, broken green-tinted glass, and rusted iron windmills have sat silent for a century.

Decades ago, Kollovan was a port large enough to compete with Yahneri Port, fighting for dominance with the port at Me'Saqi. Kollovan housed a number of industries, and its booming industry attracted scores of investors and businessmon, all of whom flooded buildings and homes all built in a beautiful architectural style created especially for Kollovan. The most powerful organization at the time was the Leaf Guild, which maintained a massive cultivated garden which spanned hills upon hills all around Dragon Mountain. The Leaf Guild also maintained regulation on the mines and collection millions of coins from other guilds and businesses in fines and registration for resource use.

Ironically, despite the Leaf Guild's mission statement of ethical resource use and natural preservation, the abandoned gardens have turned the land surrounding Dragon Peak into an ecological disaster zone. Non-native plants have broken loose, and without cultivation, have completely destroyed the foliage makeup of the Arcean Northeast. Efforts to stop the spread of these plants south have only managed to slow it down. There's worry that these plants could explode in population and cause chaos in Arcea's farms and cripple the country's food supply one day.
