The Most Sacred Site of all Water-Dwellers

Absolutely nothing is known about the depths of the Murky Tunnels except for one thing: it is a sacred place that all water-dwellers seek to enter as part of a Pilgrimage. It's known that Water-Dwellers have their own pantheon of gods and goddesses from the Land-Dweller's Arceus-focused religion.

This lack of knowledge, naturally, has led to mass speculation about the nature of the Murky Tunnels. In light of the poor economic conditions of Arcea this has led to many desperate Poke'mon believing there to be treasure within that could let them strike it rich. Water-Dwellers have been asked this very thing and they've confirmed as such, though Water-Dweller knowledge must always be taken with a grain of salt, as they often talk of things one way when meaning another.

Still, the speculation of treasure has not stopped many prospecting Land-Dwellers from delving into the depths of Squirtle Lake using Bubble Plant protection. To date, however, not one Land-Dweller has managed to make it into Damp Cave to gain entrance to the Murky Tunnel.

For now, whatever secrets the Murky Tunnels hold shall remain a mystery, as they have for hundreds of years.
