Dragon's Hill
During the 5th Turn Economic boom, the Arcean Northeast peninsula was home to what is now known as "Old Kollovan", a city of multiple disciplines of commerce that, at the time, rivaled Yahneri Port for prominence. Its edge was that it was not just a nexus of conveying goods but was also an area where those goods were manufactured, giving the port direct access to cheaper products, vehicles, etc.
At the heart of Old Kollovan was the 'Dragon's Hill Mines', situated at the base of Dragon's Mountain. The snaking nexus of mines spanned from iron, gold, silver, copper and even Roppi mines, with different shafts bought, traded and fought over like prime real estate by no less that 40 companies under the Ironworking, Machine and even Agricultural Guilds.
However, the fierce competition swiftly bled the mines dry, as well as unregulated and hasty digging leading to unsafe conditions. The numerous cave-ins have left many sections of Dragon's Hill still yet teeming with untapped resources that are now, unfortunately, too costly to pursue. The river port, unfortunately, was not enough to save the fledgling port town and the land prices swiftly plummeted.
Underground Roppi companies still occasionally take on dangerous expeditions in the long dead mines to try and salvage anything left behind, but these ventures can often prove dangerous or fatal. Worse still, the old mines have made for a perfect hideout for various gangs, and they must regularly be cleaned out.
However, recently, the mines have been less and less lively, with fewer crime gangs making their home in the mines. Why this is, nobody knows for certain.
