Pre-Historic Monument

Just east of the Apple Woods is a strange monument of completely unknown origin. Just like the Unknown Ridge, its existence was recorded by the first settlers in ancient history and it's unknown who constructed it. However, it's assumed that whoever built the Ancient Ruins also built the Unknown Ridge.

The monument itself is unremarkable. Extremely smooth to the touch, with no erosion having hurt its surface. It's stark white in color and otherwise featureless. It's thusly impossible to tell what it was made for or what it was meant to celebrate by whatever ancient Poke'mon constructed it.

The strangest thing about the ruins is that if one presses their face to the surface of the monument they can only think of one word: 'Anchor'. Psychologists and health professionals cannot explain this bizarre and consistent phenomena.
